About Me
Hello, I’m Charles Frost, a dedicated mental health counselor and performance psychology consultant committed to helping individuals and teams reach their full potential.
I hold a Doctorate in Sport and Performance Psychology and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling. I am a Florida Registered Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern (IMH25940) and a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) Candidate with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.
My practice is built on compassion, evidence-based strategies, and a belief that every person has the capacity to grow, adapt, and excel. Whether I’m working with an athlete, first responder, executive, or high-performing professional, my goal is to help clients strengthen the psychological skills that support peak performance and overall well-being.
The foundation of my approach is grounded in resilience, confidence, focus, and emotional composure, which are the four pillars that empower individuals to perform at their best, manage adversity, and thrive in all areas of life. Through an integrative and ecological perspective, I aim to create a supportive environment where personal growth and professional excellence go hand in hand.
What’s the difference between counseling and performance coaching?
Counseling focuses on improving mental and emotional well-being, often addressing challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, or addiction. Performance coaching is about developing mental skills, such as focus, confidence, and resilience, to help you excel in sport, career, or personal goals.
Common FAQs
How do I know if I need counseling, coaching, or both?
If you’re struggling with emotional challenges, past experiences, or mental health concerns, counseling may be the best starting point. If you’re already doing well but want to improve your performance in specific areas, coaching may be more suitable. I can help you decide during your initial consultation.
Do you work with athletes only?
No. While I do work with athletes, our services are for anyone seeking personal growth, emotional wellness, or improved performance, whether in sports, academics, business, or everyday life.
How long will it take before I see results?
Everyone’s journey is different. Some clients notice changes within a few sessions, while others benefit from a longer-term approach. Progress depends on your goals, consistency, and willingness to apply strategies outside of our sessions.
Are sessions in person or online?
I offer both in-person and virtual sessions to fit your schedule and comfort level. You can choose the format that works best for you, or use a combination of both.
Is everything I share kept confidential?
Yes. All counseling sessions are confidential in accordance with professional ethical standards and legal requirements. For coaching clients, we also maintain strict privacy to protect your personal information and goals.
